A Celebration of Cornish Tuna at Gylly Beach
On Friday 18th September, Gylly Beach will host a rare and unforgettable celebration of one of Cornwall’s greatest treasures: line-caught Cornish tuna. This is not just a dinner, but a celebration of food, skill, respect, and shared dining, with the Atlantic as a breath taking backdrop.
Your evening begins with a welcome glass where guests will then witness the ceremonial cutting of the tuna, guided by renowned local fishmonger Tom Jonik, a master of his craft who brings reverence, precision, and passion to every cut.
From there, our chef — Head Chef Sam Blackburn — takes over, preparing a series of seven exquisite tasting plates designed to highlight the different cuts and qualities of this magnificent fish. All dishes are complemented by the finest seasonal produce from Cornwall’s top suppliers.
