‘Going down to Gylly Beach’ has become quite a strapline of its own…. We’re proud to be THE café, at the heart of such a happening beach with heaps of personality and Falmouth’s local legends!’


We have the honour of requesting all Lords, Ladies, Maids and Noble Gentlemen

in the Great Hall for our annual New Years Eve Celebrations. 

Guests can enjoy two levels of exclusivity with 75 seats available at the Royal Table. Bedazzled with decorations, jewels, beer, sumptuous feast platters and more, the Royal Tables will be for those with a Crown Jewels Pass.

90 Sovereign Passes are also available for guests who lean to a more of a social engagement. Entrance to the Grand Hall is included along with a hearty spit roast roll to be served at a time announced by the Crown.

Only guests with passes will be able to attend this prestigious event and hear the musings of harps and string guitars from the court jesters Small Wonder. Our resident DJ will paly throughout the night until we bring the drawbridge up at 3am sharp.

On the stroke of midnight we raise a glass to the Queen who has blessed us with explosives over the great Pendents Castle.

Please RSVP as tickets are more limited than normal this year.

With the height of aristocracy in attendance please do dress to impress, guests falling short of this will be flogged under the Kings orders.

2 types of tickets are available this year.

  • The Crown Jewels Pass – A seat at the Royal Table for the duration of the evening, beers, a sumptuous feast and more. £65 per person.
  • The Sovereign Pass – A standing ticket with entrance to the Grand Hall, Spit Roast Roll and more. £40 per person.


Gylly Steak Nights are back!

Our most popular theme night returns! Throughout November, every Wednesday night,5pm til late.

Our menu is bursting with choices from small tapas bites to the best steak cuts plus a deal that couldn’t be more delicious! – Two fantastic rump steaks from local butcher Philip Warren plus a bottle of house wine for just £35!

With summer coming to an end, now is the time to start thinking about organising your Christmas Party here at the Gylly Beach Café.
We enjoyed a fully booked December last year, welcoming groups from various companies and organisations looking to have a very merry knees-up whilst feasting on sumptuous dishes from our Head Chef Dale Macintosh who, you may have heard was a Masterchef Professionals Quarter Finalist!
This year we are offering even more bang for your Christmas cracker with the addition of a DJ for the night, making a full party night package complete! Steve Owen will be pumping out new and old tunes to suit all tastes, so be prepared for all the Christmas classics. A DJ is guaranteed with all bookings on Friday and Saturday nights, other nights can be arranged dependant on numbers booked.
We will be taking bookings from November 23rd – December 22nd 2018. We can take a minimum of 10 guests and a max of 60 guests for our Party Night Menu plus DJ, please find attached our Christmas Party Night 2 or 3 course menu and prices.
We can also cater for very large groups this year, with our max numbers being up to 200 guests. For numbers over 60 guests we can offer you a hot & cold buffet with desserts starting at £20pp.
We already have a couple of dates booked so please contact us quickly to discuss securing a date for this coming Christmas period. Dates booked so far are Sat 24th Nov & Fri 14th Dec.
Specific Details:
• We require a £200 non-refundable deposit to secure the date for your party night.
• Arrival time starts from 6:30pm and we will be serving the first course at 7:30pm prompt.
• We supply a template of a seating plan which needs filling in and also a pre-order for food choices.
• We require the floor plan and pre-order two weeks before the date of the party and final numbers no later than one week before the party.
• There is no alcohol to be brought into the Party nights, all alcohol must be purchased through Gylly Beach Café.
• We reserve the right to serve drinks / food to outside tables if required – inside will be for sole use depending on party numbers.

If you don’t know the joys of Sundays here at Gylly then you really need to make your way down for our revered Roast on the Coast Deal!

We have a Sandchair!

Cornwall has some of the best beaches in the UK. One of the most difficult places to access if you have a physical disability is the beach, but here at Gyllyngvase Beach, Falmouth we can help.

The titanium SAND CHAIR is a specially designed wheelchair, which rely on huge inflated tyres to cope with the uneven beach terrain and can be pushed right into the water to allow swimming direct from the chair.
